Speeding in Stoke Bruerne
The Parish Council is still in discussion with NCC Highways as to what can be realistically achieved to slow traffic down through the Village and particularly in the 20-mph zone outside the School. Please report ALL incidents involving vehicles to the Police
Speeding and volume of traffic is a big problem in Stoke Bruerne and the Parish Council has been putting a great deal of pressure on NCC Highways to try and get more traffic calming measures put in place. Ash Tree on Village Green Opposite School
Unfortunately the Ash tree on the Village Green opposite the School has honey fungus which has decayed key buttresses of the tree. A specialist tree consultant has confirmed that there is a real risk of the tree being up-rooted in adverse weather. The parish council is therefore arranging for its removal during October. Steve Barber will be speaking and taking questions from residents regarding traffic calming in Stoke Bruerne at the next Parish Council meeting on 12th June 2018 at 7:30pm in the Village Hall. Roade Library

Traffic Survey
As you are probably aware the Parish Council commissioned an independent traffic survey in September at two locations in the Village. The first location after the canal bridge and before Mill Lane confirmed a significant number of speeding drivers with an average speed of 25.7 mph in the 20-mph zone.
